This robust Northern Ireland capital city has undergone much change over the years. Belfast was the engine-room of the Industrial Revolution in Northern Ireland and during the Victorian era, was an industrial boomtown, whose prosperity was based on its thriving shipbuilding, linen and rope-making industries. Shipbuilding in particular was of huge importance in Belfast and it was here that the Titanic was built. For some decades now, Belfast has been hit by collapsing industries and of course the ongoing troubles in the North. But following the ceasefire of 1994 and subsequent peace agreements, Belfast has benefited from major tourism investment and has undergone somewhat of a facelift as a city.
There are numerous galleries and museums to explore, lively pubs to visit and an exciting nightlife to enjoy that has everything from traditional Irish music and folk music to jazz and blues. In addition, Donegall Place and Royal Avenue boast an excellent variety of local specialist shops and high street chain stores.
With so much on offer, Belfast is a great city to visit and you can be sure of a warm welcome all year round.

Car Rental Belfast City Collection Details
Dooley Car Rental operate a meet and greet service in Belfast City Airport. Meet & Greet arrangements must be agreed at least 48 hours in advance.
On collecting your car, please have your reference number (see below) and your DRIVERS LICENCE (issued in your country of residence) and your CREDIT CARD (for security imprint).
You will complete and sign a rental contract. The car will be supplied with a full tank of petrol which is to be prepaid. Maps and touring assistance will be provided. Car controls will be demonstrated. Car return instructions will be provided.
